Ingapirca

We mentioned our visit to this Inca ruins in our last post. The site is small and does not have the grandeur of setting that Machu Picchu, in Peru, has. The Inca came to Ecuador in an attempt to expand their territory. They established communities in Cuenca and Ingapirca and moved even farther north, creating "Inca trails" across the highlands in the Ecuadorian Andes.

Typical Ecuadorean menu. The food is cheap and the portions are large.
